TWO LOCAL WORLD CLASS HEALTH CARE INSTITUTIONS PARTNER UP...JUPITER MEDICAL CENTER and MIAMI CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL

Jupiter Medical Center announced a substantial partnership with Miami Children’s Hospital.  The partnership hopes to benefit the community for years to come with the pediatric partnership.  Parents and grandparents know emergency pediatric healthcare is crucial.

The two medical centers that share similar cultures, beliefs, values and dedication to provide excellent quality health care to patients have joined to benefit the community.   Together they hope to “bridge the gap from world-class adult health care, to world-class pediatric healthcare, where the entire community benefits.”

Over the next two years, the entire partnership shall take place. Initially, within the first six months of the partnership, “telehealth” will allow Miami Children’s Health physicians to interact remotely, review images, lab results, and vital assessments in real time with Jupiter Medical Center Emergency Room physicians.  Plans include adding a rotation of Miami Children’s Hospital Pediatric Emergency physicians onsite at JMC.  The second phase will include implementing a Level 2 NICU and an inpatient pediatric wing at the new, currently under construction, Florence De George Pavilion located on the Jupiter Medical Center campus.
