The 2019 Manatee Lagoon Festival is back again this weekend. The ManateeFest kicks off tomorrow Friday, February 1st with a Movie Night Kickoff.
The movie for the kickoff is “Finding Nemo” starting at 5 pm. Bring your chairs and blankets for the movie under the stars to kick off the fun event. Food and drink vendors will be on site during the movie night.
This Saturday, February 2nd is the ManateeFest starting at 9 am to 4 pm. The festival and the Manatee Lagoon are in their third year and is a free event for the whole family. The day will feature photo opportunities with Mia the Manatee, an interactive selfie station, marine life face painting, coloring stations, passport activity, and chances to win prizes. The day will also feature a variety of food trucks, environmental exhibits, presentations, live music, and arts and crafts vendors. Some of the food truck vendors include: Best French Fries, Dough Dough’s Donuts, Natuurlik Food Truck and PS561 Gourmet Hot Dogs. Click here to view the events schedule for the day.
The Manatee Lagoon dedicates itself to educating the public about the Lake Worth Lagoon, manatees, and to protect the environment.
