Designated as the Sailfish Capital of the World, Stuart can found just north of Tequesta, in Martin County. When we were told the same good people behind Guanabanas Restaurant in Jupiter were opening a new waterfront dining destination in Stuart, we had to venture north to check out their newest creation, TideHouse.

Arriving by boat, we were pleased to find quick and easy dockage at Harborage Marina and Yacht Club, with a depth of about 6-8’ throughout the entire marina making it a simple option for a larger boat as well. They offer a single floating dock on the west side of the main marina dock for anyone to use, as well as 3 first-come-first-serve boat slips.

It’s a Green Christmas is the theme for this years Annual Stuart Christmas Parade.  Presented by the VNA.

Bring the family, rain or shine on Friday, December 6th from 7pm – 9pm and enjoy this Martin County tradition since 1960! The Grand Marshal this year is Mark Perry, the Executive Director of Florida Oceanographic Society. There will be food vendors, including Classic Mobile Catering and Island Grill Food Truck, as well as lots and lots of candy thrown out from the floats to the children along the street. This weekend, The South Florida Science Center invites your family to SPEND THE NIGHT! Not only can you sleepover at the science museum, but you'll get to explore the "Hall of Heroes" exhibit - an exhibit full of interactive activities to test your superhero powers. Activities include an obstacle course, a scavenger hunt, and superhero crafts alongside real superheroes in the flesh like Hulk, Ironman, and Superman!

Cost includes pizza for dinner, continental breakfast, and all activities. Participants supply their own sleeping bag, pillow, and hygiene materials.

This event is for children 3 years and older, and one adult chaperone must accompany every 5 children for the entire visit.

You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I'm telling you why - Santa Clause is coming to The Gardens Mall! On Friday, November 15th, Santa and his elves will parade through The Gardens Mall with the Palm Beach Gardens High School Marching Band to his throne in Grand Court at 6pm. Families can enjoy restaurant samplings and photos with Santa. Everyone is encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy to be donated to Florida Cares Charity.

This is when a special species migrates to South Florida - sportfishing teams in the pursuit of billfish, the tournaments, and the large amount of cash that can be won (and spent) along with it. ELS Center of Excellence is a tuition-free, non-profit public charter high school for students on the autism spectrum. You are invited to support their great cause by joining them for dinner at their second annual Food Around The World event. Chefs will present food, wine, and dessert tastings from over 25 different countries!

The 5th Annual Wounded Veterans Relief Fund 5k Run/Walk honors those who are serving and those who have served the United States. This 5k raises funds to help Florida veterans who find themselves on the verge of homelessness. The Wounded Veterans Relief Fund provides veterans with housing and transportation assistance, activities, and resources to help them find their new "normal". Their mission is to save lives and keep families together. 

Not only is this 5k for a great cause, but it winds through our beloved scenic Riverbend Park, along the Loxahatchee River, and through Battefield Park. T-shirts and finisher medals are guaranteed for the first 400 registrants.
