The most expensive home in the United States is back on the market and listing price is $159 million! The beachfront mansion is located at 935 Hillsboro Mile, Hillsboro Beach, Florida.  The luxe digs feature over 60,000 square feet with 11 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms sprawling over 4.4 acres from the Atlantic Ocean to Intracoastal Waterway.  It includes an IMAX Theater, a 4,500-square-foot infinity edge pool, a $2 million grand staircase, gold leaf finishes, a putting green, a 26-foot tall fountain, and a 30-car garage.

The latest quarterly report by the National Association of Realtors (NAR), released November 12, 2015, asserting that median prices for existing homes in metropolitan areas continued to climb in the third quarter of 2015, but at a healthier pace that could entice more homebuyers into the market.

"Many of the metro areas with the fastest price appreciation over the past year were in the South — particularly in Florida," says Lawrence Yun, NAR chief economist. The economist stated that Florida, in particular, had some of the strongest price appreciation.  Yun stated without question the housing market had its best quarter in nearly a decade. The Jensen Beach Pineapple Festival is in its 28th year history this weekend, November 13 -15, 2015.  The festival is one of the remaining few true street festivals in South Florida and one of the largest!  The weekend of festivities acknowledges the “community’s rich pineapple heritage.”

John Lawrence Jensen, of Denmark, arrived to the area in 1881.  He set up his plantation and began cultivating and farming pineapples. This area became known as the Town of Jensen. By 1894, Henry Flagler’s Florida East Coast Railway, reached the Town of Jensen.  Fresh pineapple shipments were loaded directly onto the freight cars and sent north.   The 19th century Town of Jensen revolved around pineapple farming and was known as the “Pineapple Capital of the

Pull up a chair and get cozy for a night of spectacular proportions this Sunday! Across North America the night sky will show a “comic ballet” where you will be able to see a lunar eclipse. The moon will travel across the sky that will create a lunar eclipse unseen since 1982 and not to be seen again until 2033. 

A lunar eclipse like this one has only occurred five times since 1900. It has been named a “super moon.” It has been given the name super because of it is a moon in perigee- or the closest it will come to Earth in its orbit around the planet.
