Golf Digest recently came out with their annual list of the top 100 golf courses in the United States. Coming in at number 13 on that list is Seminole Golf Club in the Seminole Landing community.

Located in North Palm Beach, thee Donald Ross designed course is one of the most private golf clubs in not just Florida but the entire country. The 6787 yard par-72 course was originally opened 1929 and boasts a very exclusive membership that includes the likes of PGA Tour pro and Loxahatchee River resident Rickie Fowler.

Here is what Golf Digest had to say about Seminole Golf Club: “There's something majestic in this Donald Ross design, particularly in his clever routing on a rectangular site, with each succeeding hole encountering a new wind direction. The greens are no longer Ross originals, replaced 50 years ago in a re-grassing effort that showed little appreciation for the original rolling contours. The bunkers aren't Ross traps either. Dick Wilson replaced them in 1947, conjuring up his own version meant to the imitate crests of waves of the adjacent Atlantic. Seminole has long been one of America's very best courses. When it slipped into the Second 10 in 1987, it marked the first time in the history of America's 100 Greatest that no Donald Ross design was ranked in the Top 10.”

Seminole has been ranked all 49 years that Golf Digest has comprised their list with their highest ranking coming in 1990 when they ranked eighth. Other Florida courses making the list were the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach (#44) and Calusa Pines Golf Club in Naples (#81).
