The popular Tequesta sandbar was the sunny site of the wildly attended Conch Bar Jam that saw more than 1,000 boating enthusiasts converge on the patch of land in the middle of the Intracoastal Waterway.

The Tequesta sandbar, from which beautiful views of homes for sale on Jupiter Island can be had, is near Jupiter Pointe Marina and south of the private enclave of Rolling Hills. Live music by Big Vince and the Phat Cats, a Pontiki boat shuttle for passengers and fresh food were among the offerings, as well as paddleboard and kayak rentals.

Proceeds from the event went to Bluewater Babes, a local charitable organization raising funds for cancer organizations Cancer Alliance of Help and Hope and Hearing the Ovarian Cancer Whisper.

Cancer Alliance of Help and Hope assists breast cancer patients with everyday living expenses, including rent, mortgage, utilities, car payments, and car and health insurance.

Hearing the Ovarian Cancer Whisper aims to ease some of the financial burdens many women in Palm Beach County experience when they are undergoing treatment for ovarian cancer.
