The inauguration of Joe Biden as the 46th presint of the United States at noon on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, will mark the commencement of the four-year term of Joe Biden as president and Kamala Harris as vice president and Southeast Florida is prepared. The outgoing president's term ends at noon local time on the 20th. Biden is expected to take the oath of office at noon Eastern time. The oath of office is as follows:

Southeast Florida real estate predictions for 2021 are favorable! The National Association of Realtors chief economist, Lawrence Yun, has readied real estate predictions for 2021. Last year the housing market was on fire with record-low mortgage rates and relocations made possible by remote job opportunities.

It is anticipated that home sales will maintain+ the 2020 momentum and will carry into 2021. The record low mortgage rates have been the key factor for home buying despite a challenging pandemic plagued job market.  Jobs will steadily recover especially knowing that the vaccine distribution is just around the corner.

 The National Association of Realtors held its Real Estate Forecast Summit where several experts weighed in on projections of what the market may look in 2021. The following predictions (re-posted verbatim to avoid miscommunication) are either from a survey of more than 20 housing and economy experts, or the Residential Outlook panel held during the Summit.  Palm Beach County properties will most likely follow the predictions.  It is best to discuss the specific area of interest with one of the Waterfront Properties real estate specialists, who are knowledgeable of the market.

Finance titan Goldman Sachs is on the move and Palm Beach County could very well be its final destination. It has been widely reported that Goldman Sachs will be moving an $8 billion dollar division of its company to the sunshine state.

The report comes after many major companies have fled the high taxes and clustered New York City work places, many of which have since set up in South Florida. Billionaire Paul Singer recently set up his $41 billion dollar hedge fund in West Palm Beach and fellow billionaire investor Carl Icahn recently made his move to Miami.

The South Florida real estate market continues to garner national headlines as business expands into the condo market. For months, million-dillion single family home sales were surging and it seems like that surge has bled into the condo market in Palm Beach County. 

According to appraiser Miller Samuel Inc., in the last month, signed contracts for condos worth at least $1 million jumped 300% from a year earlier. Palm Beach County has become a popular escape for the Northeast city residents that are seeking less congested area's during the pandemic. Single-family homes continue to benefit from the influx of new residents, but the boost in the condo market has greatly increased as we head into the winter months up north.
