The moon will travel across the sky that will create a lunar eclipse unseen since 1982 and not to be seen again until 2033.

No matter how much experience you have out on the waterways, it is always a good decision for all, from novices to mavens, to frequently review the boating safety rubrics before setting off and departing from the dockage.  

As young as a teen, it is mandatory to learn the guidelines of the roads before you sit behind the wheel and many believe that same importance should be implemented before taking the controls of the waterways. Royal Palm Beach resident Alan Morin carded a four day total of even par to finish in a tie for third at the 2015 PGA Professional National Championship at the Philadelphia Cricket Club. That third place finish earned the assistant pro at The Falls Country Club in Lake Worth a spot at the PGA Championship at Whistling Straights August 13th-16th.

Morin shot rounds of 70, 72, 72, and 68 to be one of the 20 PGA Professionals to earn a trip to the season’s final major.

“I’m very happy for how I played today,” Morin told the Palm Beach Post. “I grinded it out, and mentally hung in there all week. I tried to stay steady and not get ahead of myself. It’s a marathon. But it was a beautiful facility, a beautiful golf course. You can’t get better conditions

The West Course at the Fountains Country Club will be closed until mid-October as the club undergoes a $2 million renovation project.

The club is trying to get the course back to its original design by widening bunkers, restructuring fairways, and leveling parts of the course. According to General Manager Ricardo Catarino, by reshaping the bunkers and fairways, the greens will regain some of the visual appeal that it had when it originally opened in the 1970s.

The plan is not only to return the greens to their original size and shape, but also re-build the tee boxes to make the course more playable for less experienced golfers.

As one of South Florida’s most natural thrills, it is always amazing to most that some 3,000 enormous sea turtles still lumber onto South Florida’s beaches at night to lay their eggs.  
Every summer, March through October, our pristine beaches are decorated with neon colored tape and signs to show where these ancient creatures have buried their nest.

Under the pale light the moon shines onto the beaches, turtle nesting season is such an awe-inspiring scene to watch. As the sea turtles wade their way up to the beach to dig holes in the sand and lay their eggs to then disappear back into the deep blue.
