Keeping Cool This Summer In Palm Beach County

Posted by Gerald Lombardo on Wednesday, June 26th, 2019 at 9:25am.

South Florida residents know the summertime is hot... really hot, thankfully there is refuge! Check out these places if you’re looking to keep cool this Summer in Palm Beach County.

Rapids Water Park

Grab some Dippin' Dots, an inner tube and float down the lazy river for ultimate cool down at Rapids Water Park. Thrill seekers can cool off at any of the 42 water slides from Big Thunder with a 45-degree drop to the adrenaline-pumping Brain Drain with a 70-foot drop.

Where: 6566 N. Military Trail, Riviera Beach. 561-848-6272.

Fire & Ice Bar

The Fire & Ice Bar is worth the drive to Miami. It's literally a 100,000-pound bar made of ice with the temperature set at 23 degrees. Guests get a faux fur coat and gloves upon entering for a 45 minute drinking sesh. Adults 21+ can find out more here

Where: 1672 Collins Ave., Miami Beach. 305-534-2423.

iFly

iFly is an awesome place in South Florida where visitors can go indoor skydiving by jumping into a wind tunnel. It'll cool you down better than 10 fans and you also don't have to risk it all by jumping out of a plane. See it here

Where: 11690 W. State Road 84, Davie. 954-280-4359.

Palm Beach Skate Zone

Who needs snow to ice skate? The Palm Beach Skate Zone is open seven days a week and is an especially fun spot on the weekends. Every Saturday and Sunday is a party on the rink with black lights and music. There's also a ladies night, karaoke night, college night and more. Plus Lake Worth residents and others close by can sign up for programs like hockey and figure skating.

Where: 8125 Lake Worth Rd., Lake Worth. 561-963-5900.

Sailfish Splash Waterpark

Sailfish Splash Waterpark in Stuart is a great way to spend the day with your kids or grandkids this summer. The publicly owned waterpark was first established in 2010 and has since become a beloved part of the Stuart community’s character.

There are few things more fun for kids than a waterpark and, unlike many other parks, Sailfish Splash is inexpensive and very well maintained. You can relax comfortably as your kids have fun, ride the slides and swim in the expansive, Olympic swimming pool.

Where: 931 SE Ruhnke St, Stuart, FL 34994
