For many years, Jupiter, Florida residents and visitors have dreamed of an entertainment square locally situated that incorporates all the scenic beauty of area, wonderful outdoor living, and fabulous leisure activities such as dining, music, outside activity, and shopping.  Beginning in June, 2012, on the former location of the Burt Reynolds and Friends Museum, Jupiter Riverwalk at Harbourside Place will begin to come to fruition with an 18 month construction schedule.  Permits from all local and state government agencies have been approved for the estimated $144 million dollar project.

Description for the plans are said to be “a cross between Mizner Park and City Place except with a hotel and waterfront”.  The ceremonial ribbon cutting ceremony took place on April 3, 2012 with all residents and visitors of the Town of Jupiter invited to attend.  The project is located at Indiantown Road and U.S. Highway One on the nine acres of the northwest quadrant.

Jupiter Riverwalk is projected to create more than 2,400 jobs over the next 36 months and afford exceptional economic stimulus for Jupiter and the surrounding areas!  Anticipated in this waterfront location are many opportunities for the upscale array of visitors from families, professionals and visitors.  Prime office space, retail space, restaurants and eateries, hotel accommodations and marina slips overlooking Jupiter’s natural beauty, waterways and the Loxahatchee River

The project has installed a 1,100 foot new seawall and public access dock.   This latest addition of a 209 foot waterfront public access dock is another welcome addition to local residents.  The public dock will give local boats access to the future restaurants and retail shops at Harbourside Place.  There will be a Riverwalk pathway for runners, cyclists, and walkers alike to enjoy the waterfront views.  The pathway has several drinking fountains, dog water fountains, lush tropical landscaping with landscaped trellis’, benches and shade structures.  The Riverwalk pathway has decorative lighting along the Intracoastal Waterway for evening strolls.

For more than a decade the flourishing town residents of Jupiter dreamed of a place on the waterfront to bring friends and family, to enjoy music, fare, and fun.  Soon a spectacular, yet relaxed plaza, with breathtaking views will await their visit.  Jupiter has always been South Florida’s premier place for living with its nautical ambience, and miles of white sand beaches.  Jupiter Riverwalk at Harbourside Place will just add one more reason why people will want to live in one of the “happiest coastal towns in America”!
