It may be ready to break out the pumpkins and fall jackets in a lot of the U.S. but here in South Florida, our summer weather continues to roll on! Instead of hayrides and apple orchards, why not fire up the boat head out on water for a weekend at the Sandbar. Here are three of our favorites to consider:

Stuart/Hutchinson Island:

The Stuart sandbar is located just inside the St. Lucie Inlet, and just east of the convergence of the St. Lucie River and Indian River Lagoon. The closest boat ramp is Sandsprit Park. You can rent boats at the Sundance Marina in Jensen Beach. There is also excellent fishing and snorkeling in the area, which is known as the “sailfish flats.”

The Jupiter/Tequesta Sandbar:

Palm City resident Jim Herman rode a hot putter to an unbelievable 124 (61-63) on the weekend to capture his third PGA TOUR victory at the Wyndam Championship in Greensboro, N.C. Herman, who said he planned on renting a car and driving down I-95 on Sunday night after the tournament, now heads to TPC Boston for the first leg of the PGA TOUR’s FedEx Cup Playoffs.

Herman jumped from 192nd to 54th with the victory and is now in great shape to advance even further. With the win, Herman now has as many wins over the past 13 months as fellow South Florida resident Rory McIlroy.

There are plenty of reasons why Herman, McIlroy and droves of other PGA TOUR players love to call Martin County and Palm Beach County home. When you combine the ideal year-round

The old song and dance of moving to Florida for retirement is still moving and grooving but that doesn’t mean you have to take up golf or knitting. The Sunshine State has never been more attractive for business owners to start new or bring their already accomplished Co. and Inc down south. Here are a few reasons why Florida is the haven you need for your business.

 Tax Advantage

Florida has long been an attractive state for tax-conscious individuals and families because it doesn’t have an individual income tax. Plus, the state has garnered attention for its favorable business taxes. In 2019, the state ranked 4th on The Tax Foundation’s State Business Tax Climate Index, which shows how well states structure their tax systems and provide a road map

A recent study by the University of Exeter in the UK found that people who live less than a mile from the coast are 22 percent less likely to have symptoms of a mental health disorder compared to those who lived much farther away.

Is it the calm swaying of the palms or the foo-foo drinks with the umbrellas, or perhaps the clear blue color of the water that helps improve your mood?

Researchers concluded that access to “blue spaces,” or spaces by the sea or water, may play a big role in a person’s mental health. While many studies have shown that getting out into nature, even for just 20 minutes, can improve your mood, this specific finding could make a big difference in helping a person’s well-being, as well as the coastal environments themselves.
