Stuart Sailfish Regatta

The sunny city of Stuart, Florida has been dubbed the “sailfish capital of the world” and for good reason! The warm temperatures bring thousands of game fishermen from around the globe to the scene here in Stuart. The underwater topography just offshore of Stuart’s beaches provides the ideal place for baitfish to accumulate by the millions. In turn this provides the perfect feeding grounds for the sailfish, mahi-mahi, wahoo and a gold mine for the fishermen.Where there are fishermen there are boats, and coming to Stuart are some of the world's fastest! Aside from the world-class fishing, friendly locals and stunning real estate, Stuart brings tons of fun events to its people each year and its celebrated high-inensity regatta is back!

The second annual Stuart Sailfish Regatta is coming again in April. For years, the famed event was a huge attraction but eventually was closed down. After a 17-year absence, 2012 was its comeback year and it made a splash! Thanks to a dedicated team of sponsors and high public demand, the Sailfish Regatta came back with vengeance. Over 15,000 people flocked to see state-of-the-art speedboats reach 150 mph on the water.

Taking place in the Stuart Causeway, you will see super boats, power boats and hydroplane races. The high speed, high intensity event is sure to have you on the edge of your seat. This event is the perfect place for a weekend of excitement with friends or family.  Some of the other activities include: free children’s events, live music, great food, drinks and awesome displays of the speedboats for an up-close and personal look!

The Sailfish Regatta will be held April 19, 20 and 21. Tickets range from $10-15 and children under 10 are free. Click on the following link for more information and to purchase tickets. http://www.sailfishregatta.org/
