COFFEE HOUSE SHOWCASE CONCERT SERIES in TEQUESTA
Posted by Nicole Richards on Thursday, October 29th, 2015 at 2:11pm.
Over the past six years, Tequesta, Florida has been an ideal location for talented and flawless styles of musical performances taken place at the monthly Coffee House Open Mic Nights at The Church of Good Shepherd.
Listening, playing and supporting live music are one of the most pleasurable things anyone can do leisurley to uplift moods and bring memorable experiences into your life by sharing fun times with family and friends. Erik and Michelle Pariseleti started the ‘Open Mic Night’ to share the benefits of music to the entire community. They believe that live music can bring people together no matter what their background may be and at the end of the day, you socialize, exchange ideas and help promote the peace amongst the audience. The community as a whole can benefit from music in every aspect.
Join the music this Sunday, November 1st for a wonderful afternoon in the sanctuary as Jim Hurst will be coming to play for the community in the beautiful Village of Tequesta. The Nashville based singer and songwriter, an International Bluegrass Music Association award winning guitarist as well as the two time nominee as a ‘IBMA Winner’ and ‘2015 IBMA Guitar Player of the Year!’ Jim Hurst, is a one of a kind musical performer, who has a very tasteful flair and sets his tones for a unique picking style. “His eclectic career has made him a remarkable performer, an experienced instructor and a highly sought after session musician. The product of a musical family, Jim honed his musical style after being influenced by the likes of Tony Rice, Clarence White and Jerry Reed.”
Over the years, the monthly Coffee House Open Mic Nights have grown into the largest within the area and Good Shepherd has been able to host many Coffee House Showcase Concerts that feature local and national talent from around the country. The money raised all goes to support youth activities and the music programs that are held at the church.
