ANYTHING THAT FLOATS REGATTA RACE

The Annual Wacky Boat race, Anything that Floats Regatta race, in Key Largo is a half mile dash through a buoyed course in Blackwater Sound form Key Largo’s Caribbean Club to Sundowners and is set for August 16, 2014.
The organizers of this wacky boat race encourage the crew to re-use, recycle and redevelop floatable items found around the house to build their boats. Homemade vessels of materials and you never know what trashy items will be combined such as, buckets, pool noodles, PVC Pipe etc. to build some type of floating device for the Anything that Floats regatta race.
Prizes are awarded for the best costumed crew, most creative vessel, fastest boat, and the vessel containing the most participants that still floats at the finish line.
It’s a crazy and fun event for everyone, whether you join the race or cheer on your favorite team from land. Enjoy the sounds of local bands from Mile Marker 104.
