An iconic symbol of Floridian and American History and glamour is the Flagler Museum of Palm Beach. It is one of the most renowned homes in Florida. In the early 1900’s, Henry Morrison Flagler as a wedding gift to his wife built in the incredible manor and named it Whitehall.
“In 1902, the New York Herald proclaimed Whitehall, Henry Flagler's Gilded Age estate in Palm Beach, "more wonderful than any palace in Europe, grander & more magnificent than any other private dwelling in the world."
What makes this museum and its owner, Henry Flagler are his railroads. In 1912 Henry Flagler arrived aboard the first train into Key West, marking the completion of the Florida East Coast (FEC) Railway's Over-Sea Railroad to Key West. With great imagination and ingenuity, Flagler became a pioneer in the rail industry of the United States.
Today, Whitehall is a museum home to some exceptional exhibits open to the public. Several times a year, the Flagler Estate and Museum boast incredible art exhibitions with some of the most extraordinary and most impressive art the world has to offer.
