On Friday, September 30, 2022, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm a painting class will be offered. Within the Tree of Life Painting Class, you will learn how to paint a colorful sunset with the tree of life on canvas. All materials and instructions will be provided. The event will take place at Private Oceans North, 208 U.S. Highway 1, Suite 204, in North Palm Beach.

The class is offered by Mobile Masterpieces. Hosted by a local artist, Melissa Mastrangelo, with a BA in Fine Art, she started Mobile Masterpieces to teach art anywhere and to anyone, without them needing any artistic experience. American Humane, America’s first national humane organization, is set to launch The Humane Table: Cooking with Compassion, a cookbook for home cooks who share the organization’s dedication to the kind and respectful treatment of animals. American Humane is in Palm Beach. The book will be released in late October to coincide with Humane for the Holidays, a campaign designed to drive awareness for creating meals featuring responsibly raised and sustainable ingredients for the fall and winter holidays.

The Delray Beach Restaurant Month 2022 (September) is produced by the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority in collaboration with the Downtown Delray Beach restaurants, cafés, and fast-casual establishments and eateries. One of the participating restaurants is Elisabetta’s Ristorante located at 32 East Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach. They are offering a three-course chef’s menu for $45!

Elisabetta’s Ristorante also has a location in Downtown West Palm Beach.  However, the special prix fixe menu which includes Rigatoni Alla Bolognese with a choice of salad and dessert. This special offer is only available in the Delray Beach location in partnership with the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center located at 14200 U.S. Highway 1 in Juno Beach asks that residents think globally and act locally. Due to potential impacts of hurricane Ian on our area this week, Loggerhead Marinelife Center and the Juno Beach Pier will be CLOSED today (Wednesday, September 28th) and will remain closed until the storm passes and assessments are made.  Please stay off the beaches and remain cautious.

One hour south of Palm Beach County is a  dazzling outdoor display for the entire family to delight in!  Haulover Park is hosting Kitetober Festival including large flying whales. Haulover Park in is located at 10800 Collins Avenue, in Miami Beach.

The Kite Festival is 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. October 22 and 23, 2022, and entry is free. Kites representing different nationalities are encouraged. Food and kites are available for purchase at the event. 

At the event, fly your own kites if you’d like, or watch others.  Kites of all shapes and styles are featured, including:

The What the Punk Fest goal is to provide secure spaces, with dance and music being the common denominator, to as many people as possible regardless of sexuality, gender, age, race, or experience level. Concluding the year's outreach, What the Punk Fest weekend, is scheduled for October 1-3, 2020.

This is Florida’s 1st and only International Gay Urban Dance Festival.
