A young Jupiter local made his Olympic dreams come true. A dream is simply a dream if you do not go for it. Zion Wright is that Jupiter young man and he has reached his goal of competing in the Olympics. Skateboarding will be represented for the first time in the Olympics. 

Wright began skating at 4. As time went on, he became a household name around these parts. By the time he was 15, Zion had already moved to the birthplace of skateboarding, California.  Wright had to win the Dew Tours stop in Des Moines, Iowa, to make the team. So, he decided to get creative. After that, he got on the Red Bull team, and everything fell into place for him.

The Andrew "Red" Harris Foundation is pleased to announce that the 2021 artificial reef project has begun with the implementation of the initial of five 500-ton barge loads of huge 8' long concrete tunnels offshore of the Jupiter inlet! This year's project benefits from Forterra's donation of 2500 culverts valued at $450,000 to the Andrew "Red" Harris Foundation.  The coral replicas will range in size up to 8 feet tall, wide and deep. We are going to build beautiful Bahama-like reefs off Jupiter and Juno!

The culverts, aka tunnels, are presently being trucked and staged for loading on barges that will begin deploying a mile off the Jupiter inlet early this summer. The trails will be built at a concentration of one 8' 18-24" inside diameter duct per

Southeast Florida outdoor activity enthusiasts can enjoy a tax-free shopping week.  Florida’s tax-free “Freedom Week” event is July 1 – July 7, 2021.  Eligible outdoor recreation items and admission to eligible cultural and sporting events are exempt from Florida state sales tax.  You will save at 6 percent on qualifying purchases.

A Lake Worth beach convenience store sold one of four winning tickets in Sunday's statewide Fantasy 5 drawing, the Florida Lottery said.  C&K Food Mart at North G Street and 10th Avenue North sold the ticket.  The winning ticket which won the prize money was a combination of 4-5-7-12-23 and it paid $42,801.46.

In 1986, Florida voters authorized a lottery through a constitutional amendment, enacted by a two-to-one margin that would use its proceeds to enhance public education in Florida. Governor Bob Martinez and the Florida Legislature established the Florida Lottery with the mission of maximizing revenues for education to allow the people of Florida to benefit from significant additional monies while providing the best lottery games available.
