We live in a land of the free, because of the brave!  A recent survey revealed that nearly 60% of Americans did not know the true meaning of Memorial Day. Memorial Day is an American holiday, observed on the last Monday of May, honoring the men and women who DIED while serving in the United States Armed Forces. The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium is now home to the Dinosaur Revolution Exhibit. The exhibit opened at the South Florida Science Center this April and visitors will be able to check out dinosaurs at the exhibit until the end of November.

The exhibit features a giant Maze Adventure, role-play activities, Mesozoic Missions spanning over 150 million years, and much more. Become a junior paleontologist and search for clues and evidence of dinosaur activities and learn more about dinosaurs.

This weekend is Memorial Day Weekend, known to many as the unofficial start of the summer season. Memorial Day is more than that. This Monday, May 31st, Americans around the world remember and honor all of those who died while serving in the US Military.

Memorial Day is celebrated on the last Monday of May every year. The day was originally known as Decoration Day and originated in the years following the Civil War in the mid-1860’s. It was not until 1971 after the Uniform Monday Holiday Act took effect and moved the holiday to the last Monday in May, when Memorial Day became a Federal holiday.

Old School Square Pavilion in Delray Beach will host Martin Sexton. Old School Square is in a historic area at 51 North Swinton Avenue in Delray Beach. The 5-acre site is at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Swinton Avenue, connecting Delray's downtown shopping district.
