For the next few months, the Palm Beaches is dedicated to celebrate culture and art in the county. The series is called MOSAIC, which stands for Months of Shows, Art, Ideas, and Culture and you’re invited to enjoy special discounts and deals on many of your favorite things to do in or around Palm Beach County.

More than 20 special offers are available that started on Wednesday, October 21st through Thursday, December 31st.

Some of the discounts and special offers include a free gift with admission at The Flagler Museum, Free child admission with an Adult Ticket at the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium, Two for One Admission at the Boca Museum of Art, BOGO Childs Admission at Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum, and much more.

Only two events are remaining during the month of October at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum. Head to the Jupiter Lighthouse in the next few days and participate and take a tour of the lighthouse grounds.

Twilight Yoga at the Light: Monday, October 26th at 7 pm

This upcoming Monday, October 26th, bring your yoga mat and enjoy the peace and serenity of Yoga on the Lighthouse Deck at sunset. The outdoor yoga class is taught by Mary Veal and is every Monday night, All levels of yoga are welcomed to attend and bring your own yoga mat, water bottle, and a flash light. The cost is $10 dollars per person, and you are asked to pre-register online prior to the event.

Everyday, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach hosts their Public Guided Tours for everyone to come and get an up-close look at the sea turtle research and rehabilitation center.

During the guided tours, visitors will learn about each sea turtle patients housed there, and the Marinelife Center staff will be there to answer your questions about sea turtles, marine life, and the center itself.

The tours are offered twice a day and cost $10 dollars for adults and $5 dollars for children under 8 years old. All are welcomed to attend. The tours are limited to a certain number of people and registration is required.

Halloween is right around the corner and there is still time to get your perfect bright round orange pumpkin this weekend. This Friday through Sunday, Rosemary Square in West Palm Beach is transforming their square into a festive pop-up Fall Festival.

The pop-up will feature The Garden Shoppe and the Birdie Floral Truck. The two will feature hundreds of pumpkins ranging in size and dried floral arrangements for the perfect fall décor. The Birdie Floral Truck will be on site on Saturday and Sunday this weekend while The Garden Shoppe will be there this Friday through Sunday.

On October 19th, a friend of Kristin Deaton of Jupiter, Florida was in town visiting after the unexpected passing of her mother, and accidentally dropped a very sentimental ring into the intracoastal at the marina behind U-Tiki Beach.

“This is the longest of long shots, but I believe in the good in people, and I need people to please SHARE this.” Deaton wrote on Facebook, “If anyone in the Jupiter area finds this VERY sentimental ring, PLEASE contact me. The holidays are fast approaching, and the incredible Gaylord Palms Hotel in Kissimmee is hosting their annual Christmas at Gaylord Palms and tickets are on sale now. Gaylord Palms is just a short two-and-a-half-hour drive from Palm Beach County and a perfect way to ring in the holidays.

Guests and locals can now purchase individual tickets for the holiday fun. The hotel previously announced its holiday pop-up experience, “I Love Christmas Movies” Christmas at Gaylord Palms that will run from Friday, November 13th through Sunday, January 3rd.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center hosts a Kids Fishing Program every Saturday morning until April 2021. Participants will learn the basic techniques for fishing from the Juno Beach Pier.

The program is recommended for children ages 8 through 12 and the program will teach and explain the concepts of fishing, knot tying, casting, fish handling, and the proper catch and release techniques used. In addition to learning new fishing skills, participants will also learn how to be ethical anglers and how o reduce their impact on marinelife.

The fish caught during the day will always be released. All fishing equipment and bait will be provided. Advanced registration is required to reserve a spot due to limited space.

South Florida may not have the typical northeast fall foilage or classic apple orchard trips with the family. That doesn't mean South Florida doesn't enjoy the Fall season though. There are plenty of pumpkin patches and haunted houses to explore and yes, even fall cocktails featuring Florida's favorite fruit, oranges! This Orange Cinnamon Smash is the perfect Florida cocktail with a taste of Fall. Enjoy! 

Ingredients

1 Cinnamon Stick

1/2 teaspoon Orange Zest zest of half an orange

60 ml Whisky

30 ml Orange juice

Soda or sparkling water to top it up

1-2 Orange Slices

Instructions

Break the cinnamon stick into pieces and add them to a shaker. Add orange zest and juice and muddle it up. Add whisky and orange juice and shake it.

The Palm Beach Zoo is hosting their annual Boo 2020 at the Palm Beach Zoo Halloween event. Head to the Palm Beach Zoo on Friday, October 30th and Saturday, October 31st for some Halloween fun.

Boo 2020 at the Zoo will feature a daytime, socially distanced, not-so-scary Halloween event for the whole family to enjoy. A DJ will be there playing all the latest hits and Halloween favorites in the Foundation Plaza.

Dress up in your favorite Halloween costumes for the event and take part in the costume contests happening throughout the day. Prizes for winners include Zoo Light tickets and family Zoo Memberships. Due to the current CDC recommendations, there will be no trick-or-treating at the event this year.
