The Palm Beaches are home to a variety of great, Southern-style restaurants. Here are a few of our favorites.

Donnie's Place

Donnie's was opened nearly 30 years ago by Mr. Donnie Dobson, now 67 years old, who still makes sure his cooking is real deal southern style. The restaurant is famous for their big portions and smothered chicken wings with meat that falls right off the bones. Regulars even like to have the wings for breakfast with a side of grits, scrambled eggs and toast. Donnie's also makes "Donnie's Drink" for $2, which will really bring you back to your childhood- it's that really sweet stain-your-teeth red drink. Try this spot for traditional southern comfort food.

Location: 60 NW 5th Ave., Delray Beach.
