Construction has been ongoing at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts since May 2018. The popular West Palm Beach theater is in the middle of a $50 million-dollar renovation expected to be completed in 2020. The expansion project is part of their “Kravis 2020: The Future is Now” vision which plans to improve the audience experience without adding more theater seats.
The 22-month renovation plans call for to enlarge the front lobby to allow for more guests, update the front garden area for a larger pedestrian plaza facing Okeechobee Boulevard, and to change the traffic patterns to and around the venue. The parking garage will soon have another exit and entrance area directly onto Okeechobee Boulevard in addition to the original Tamarind Avenue
