Explore a beachfront state park in a whole newway surrounded by beautiful butterflies. MacArthur Beach State Park is hosting a series called Butterfly Walks and Talks each Saturday. 

Beginning at 11am, the butterfly walks are guided tours throughout the park where you can see thousands of butterflies in their natural environment. You will see different species in all different colors, from orange Monarchs to black and yellow Zebra Heliconians to vivid green Malachites. Guests of the butterfly walks are sure to see some butterflies you’ve never seen before. The Jupiter River Center is a fun destination for locals or tourists.The River Center offers its guests amazing facilities with live aquatic tanks, interactive exhibits, and a touch tank that represents the ecosystem of the Loxahatchee River, from freshwater cypress swamps to sea grass estuaries to marine bionetworks. 

“The center provides a fun, educational opportunity for school children, adults, visitors, and long-time residents to learn about Florida’s first National Wild and Scenic River.” And their mission “is to foster a sense of environmental stewardship for the Loxahatchee River’s diverse watershed with quality education programs, exhibits and meaningful events.”

The Jupiter Recreation Department has planned a series of outdoor movies nights for you and the family to enjoy. Gather all the comfortable blankets, chairs, and head out for a night family fun. The outdoor movies start this weekend, and the JTAA’s Jupiter Mustangs football team will be there selling hamburgers, hotdogs, nachos, popcorn, drinks, and more, to help support their team and other youth sports.

The free outdoor movies series will take place at its new location in Abacoa’s Community Park fields, make sure to arrive early to get a good spot. The movies will be projected onto a 2-story inflatable movie screen, and will start at dusk, roughly around 6 pm.

  Come out to Seabreeze Ampitheater on Saturday, November 18th from 1 p.m. - 9 p.m. for a day of beer, food, music and fun! The third annual BandSandBrews festival is put on by Teach the Beach Foundation, a local organization whose goal is to raise awareness about environmental issues in the area and educate the community on how to conserve nature and our oceans. With the local growing season underway, a series of dinners, festivals, tastings, and other foodie events are right around the corner. In Palm Beach County the upcoming Food and Wine Festival gives us a reason to feast and enjoy.

The Palm Beach Food and Wine Festival is entering into its 11th year, with a list of impressive chefs focusing on an experience where foodies can interact with some of the best wine leaders in the industry, national award-winning chefs, and top local chefs showcasing some of the best cuisine imaginable. There are 14 events scheduled throughout the area at different restaurants and venues in just four days. With the humidity slowly disappearing and the cooler weather rolling in, locals know that the slight change in the temperatures means it’s time for bonfire season.

The town of Lake Worth, known for the public display of art and hipster vibes hosts a series of beach bonfires throughout the Florida “wintertime”.

Start packing the smoke kits, comfortable blankets, chairs, and s’mores ingredients to meet up with friends and enjoy a nice relaxing beach party by the fire and under the stars. The bonfire event has been a Lake Worth tradition since the late 1990’s.

In total there will be eight planned beach bonfires starting this Friday, November 10th, and will last until February. Live entertainment will be provided at the bonfires by local bands and musicians.

Every Monday, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum host “Twilight Yoga at the Light”. Where you can experience the serenity of yoga on the lighthouse deck, under a huge banyan tree with the sun setting in the background, providing a perfect way to relax.

The yoga is taught by Mary Veal, from Kula Yoga Shala, located in Jupiter. The outdoor yoga event is for all levels of yoga and beginners are encouraged and welcomed to join in on the fun.

Yoga is a way of connecting yourself and relaxing in your normal everyday life. During the class there is no music, and no harsh lights, just the sounds of the water and nature in the peaceful sessions.

  November is Epilepsy Awareness Month. Each year, the Epilepsy Foundation of Florida hosts "Let's Talk About It" events to educate communities about epilepsy and break stigmas associated with it. Four hundred thousand people in Florida and 1 in 26 people in the U.S. have epilepsy. One in 10 people will experience seizures in their life.
