County officials will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony Saturday, November 4th at 9 am to celebrate the improvements to Jupiter’s Riverbend Park.

The ceremony is free and open to the public, and will take place as part of the annual Pioneer Farmstead Day event that is also being held on November 4th.

The new improvements to the park include: a new kayak launching stand, parking lot, observation areas, and an outdoor picnic pavilion. In addition, public restrooms and drinking water stations will also be part of the new improvements.

Riverbend is becoming the latest recreational hot spot, and with the new improvements that park will give alternatives to driving for bicycle-riders, hikers, kayakers, and equestrians. Riverbend Park connects to the Northeast

The Maltz Jupiter Theatre is kicking off their upcoming season with a two-week run of Born Yesterday, starting on October 29th and finishing with the last performance on November 12th, 2017.

Born Yesterday is an American comedy musical about a corrupt tycoon Harry Brock, trying to make his way through the driven city of Washington D.C., while trying to transform his ex-girlfriend Billie into a classy woman with some help from friends. Along the journey Brock discovers that she has a sense of humor that’s too much to handle, turning the situation into a comedic battle between the two.

Honda Classic Cares, part of The Honda Classic Golf Tournament, is hosting a Bear Trap Bash, Saturday October 28th at PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens.

The event will be held at 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., and will feature an evening full of food, entertainment, festivity, and exciting live auctions at its Halloween themed party.

The attire is casual dressed but costumes are encouraged. During the night a prize will be giving out to the winner of the best costume contest. Live entertainment will be provided by the 80’s tribute band, The Spazmatics, providing classic hits that everyone will enjoy.

The event will raise awareness for philanthropy in Palm Beach County and through the many Honda Classic charitable partners through Honda Classic

Teach The Beach is hosting a kick off concert to raise awareness for conserving the local oceans and environment on Friday, October 27th.

The free event will be held at Harbourside Place in Jupiter, starting at 7 pm. Featuring live music from 3 performers, and fun activities for you to enjoy.

Teach The Beach Foundation is a non-profit organization created to bring awareness and to educate the people in our communities on how they can help to conserve the local oceans and the environment that we live in.

Raising awareness is a critical part in making sure that the community helps keep the local habitats safe for generations, and to help maintain our beautiful town.

Construction has begun on the new dog park coming to Jupiter. The name of park is Cinquez Park.

Cinquez Park is located where Center Street meets Indiantown Road, the proper address for the park is 2183 W. Indiantown Road.

The construction for the new park has been spilt into two phases. The first phase consisted of opening up the space which included site lighting, street parking, a building with a restrooms and storage unit, sidewalks, fencing, gazeboes, walking trails, a lake, bicycle racks, and a dog park. Construction for phase I of the project began in the early spring. A separate dog park area for small and large dogs is planned as well as dog-drinking stations.

In the early 20th century, aviation was still in its infancy.  Before that period, British military aviators practiced landings and takeoffs right here in the Jupiter Inlet.  At the height of World War I, Americans thought U.S. fighter pilots were respected and held in high regard.  The fighter pilots bravely flew in middle of one of history’s bloodiest wars to protect and serve our country.

This year, 2017, is the 100th anniversary celebration of the United States joining our allies in World War I in 1917.  The Flagler Museum salutes these aerial heroes with a “Knights of the Air: Aviator Heroes of World War 1” exhibition within the museum located in Palm Beach.
