Every Thursday morning at the River Center in Jupiter, is Starfish & Coffee Story Time. Enjoy stories about the sea and animals with songs, games and touch tanks. Starfish Story Time is perfect for little ones under the age of 7.

Starfish & Coffee Story Time is also a nice place for parents to relax with the other parents and a cup of coffee while the kids listen and learn. The kids can touch different animals in the touch tank to help educate in a fun and hands on way about the marine animals in our area.

The Wild Dolphin Camp hosted by the Under Blue Waters Foundation is all the rage for Jupiter kids these days! It is an incredible camp for kids ages 8-15 who are passionate about the oceans and all they behold. 

By partaking in the Wild Dolphin Camp, kids become honorary “junior marine biologists” and will earn their Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) “Skin Diver certification.” This means, the campers master their skills of snorkeling while researching and exploring their local ocean.

Campers will get the unique opportunity to see what being a marine biologist is like. Aboard a real research boat used for studying the oceans and its creatures, kids get to exercise their snorkeling and swimming skills as well as learn about

This Saturday, March 25th, there will be a family fun beach cleanup at Stuart Beach from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
There will be live music, free food, yoga, raffles, and activities for children.
The cleanup is hosted by Citizens for Clean Water (C4CW), a 501(c)(3) organization based out of Jensen Beach. They will be providing everyone with trash bags and gloves.
The cleanup is just in time for sea turtle nesting season and coincides with C4CW’s goal of achieving clean water.

Coming to our seaside town of Jupiter, Florida will be two pieces of prized American History for you to see up close and personal. The Columbus Foundation will be harboring two replica ships, the Nina and the Pinta for locals to tour. 

The Columbus Foundation’s original ship, the Nina, is the most historically accurate replica of a Columbus Ship ever built. The recently built Pinta is now one of the other most historically accurate ships in the world as well. According to the Columbus Foundation, “both The Nina and Pinta will be touring together as a new and enhanced 'sailing museum', for educating the public and school children. When you step aboard, you will be whisked back in time, surrounded by the design and materials of the historic caravel.

This coming Saturday, deep in the beautiful, Jonathan Dickinson State Park in Hobe Sound, will be an evening event of stargazing, delicious food, live music and friends. Held by the “Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park is “An Evening Under The Stars.” 

Park members and non-park members are invited to join in on this incredible evening. Tucked back in the darkest part of the park will be a party. The party will offer tasty BBQ, refreshing drinks, live music and games BUT the star of the show will be the high powered and ultra high tech telescopes. The Astronomical Society of the Palm Beaches will provide these super telescopes. 

The purpose of hosting the party in the darkest part of the park is to be the furthest away from any light pollution

The 9th annual Boating and Beach bash for People with Disabilities will be held this Saturday, March 18th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Spanish River Park in Boca Raton.

The event is for people with special needs, their families, and caregivers and aims to embrace the 20% of Florida residents who live with a physical/intellectual disability.

Guests of all ages are treated like VIPs as soon as they arrive. It is completely free including admission, parking, lunch, boat rides, concerts, and related activities.

The location has the beach on one side, the Intracoastal on the other, and grassy picnic areas, pavilions, walkways, and playgrounds in between.

The 32nd Palm Beach International Boat Show is set to take place March 23 - March 26, 2017 in downtown West Palm Beach. The show will feature more than a billion dollars’ worth of yachts, boats and accessories. Hundreds of boats will be on display ranging from inflatables, power boats and sport fisherman to super yachts over 150 feet. The show will feature a wide array of the latest marine technology, accessories, seminars, kids fishing clinics and boat handling classes, live music and fun for all. It is one of the top five shows in the country.

Embrace your inner Zen with relaxing yoga, breathtaking views of a Floridian sunset and the sounds of the ocean. The beloved yoga and salt room of Jupiter, Breathe Salt Yoga, will be hosting its very first sunset yoga class this Thursday evening at DuBois Park. 

The class will gather at the northwest point, also known as “Coconut Point”, of the park. All that Breathe Salt Yoga asks you to bring is your mat and water bottle and a smile! 50% of proceeds from this class will support the historical Dubois House and its preservation.
