Southern Florida is a melting pot of many cultures.  Just an hour drive south from Palm Beach County is the second largest city in Florida, Miami. Coming to Carlin Park in Jupiter, March 4th and 5th, is the beloved Jupiter Seafood Festival. The festival offers guests 2 days of delicious, local seafood, cold drinks, live music and fun for people of all ages. 

You can walk along the rows of vendors with your family and friends to see a variety of nautical vendors selling their crafts as the sounds of live music fill the air. There will be seven different bands to play over the weekend and hundreds of food, beer, drink and craft vendors to peruse. There is even a corn hole tournament where the winning team will take home $1,000. Boca Raton’s beloved art celebration, Festival of the Arts Boca, is right around the corner and its kickoff party is happening this Thursday. The Festival of the Arts Boca offers its guests and fellow art enthusiasts 11 days of film screenings, jazz, symphonic concerts, lectures and readings. 

The Thursday night kickoff will feature a renowned writer, Jennifer Egan. Egan specializes in both fiction and non-fiction literary works. She is most known for her episodic, rock-and-roll-set, Pulitzer-winning 2010 novel “A Visit From the Goon Squad,” as well as her award-winning reporting for the New York Times. She’ll discuss her occasional tightrope walking between these not-so-opposing worlds of writing in her Festival of the Arts lecture, titled

The award winning, sell-out show, Rockin’ Road to Dublin is making its debut in Fort Lauderdale tomorrow night. This show is full of jaw-dropping, Irish dances, amazing music and incredible stories. Come see what Irish Dancing Magazine calls “world class” and a “one, two punch of style and mystery.”

The show is a blend of a dramatic Broadway performance paired with the art of Irish dancing and a dash of rock and roll. The performance features 14 dancers, 8 musicians and two incredible vocalists.  Rockin’ Road to Dublin is just one of those shows you must see!

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum has planned the 2nd Annual Maritime Festival “Sea Fest for Kid in Jupiter.  This Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Plenty of oceanic themed fun, adventures and land based activities and demonstrations.

Beginning this weekend and continuing through mid April at Old School Square in Delray Beach is the Fiber Art Show. The art exhibition is comprised of the works of 15 different artists from all over the country. 

All of the pieces you will see at the Fiber Art Show in Delray Beach are in a fiber medium; whether it is fabric, textiles, and yarn, silk and other fibers. The goals of these works are to display the “connective fibers that bring all manner of people, objects and ideas together in a giant, cultural tapestry.” The artists on display here are all in unison with a theme of identifying as “fabricated.” 

The Fabricated Art Show will be on display through April 23. Admission is free however a donation of $5 is greatly appreciated and suggested.
