Springtime Fishing has been great this week, the bite is back!

Many anglers are going out of their inlets to the ocean and succeeding their goal of the day. Tying back up at their docks bringing home a whole slew and variety of fish to feed their families with.
The fish variety is mostly consisting of the beautiful brightly colored dolphin, cobias, black fin tuna and snappers!

Gov. Rick Scott signed bill HB 7029 into law on Thursday April 14, 2016. Starting in the 2017-2018 school year, students will be able to attend any Florida’s public school that has space available. By expanding Florida’s school choice options, parents and students will be able to find an education solution that best fits their needs. The bill, which received generally positive support in both the House and Senate, will have many different effects on Florida’s education system.

The transfer process would require school districts to post which schools have space for transfer students on their website and would let parents cross school district and county lines to have their child attend a different school. The open enrollment provisions will affect

Florida Atlantic University, Department of Visual Arts and Art History will present the 2016 Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition “Space”, April 15 through May 6.  The exhibition will be located at Ritter Gallery, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton. 

“Space” is the “thesis exhibition for emerging artists and designers working in various media including drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, graphic design, digital media and photography.  Themes presented in the exhibition will span social and cultural critiques and conceptual investigations of form and material.”

The art show will feature a varied collection of two and three-dimensional pieces of work.  The graduating artists will receive their Bachelors of Fine Arts degrees in graphic design and studio

A special exhibition at the Norton Museum of Art about Women Modernists examine the intersection of gender and modernism from different points of view. Four women are featured in the special exhibition “O’Keefe, Stettheimer, Torr, Zorach:  Women Modernists in New York".  These women all lived and worked in New York City between 1910 and 1935.  The artists sought acknowledgment as artists in their own right.  It is evident how their gender molded their circumstances where they worked,

Baseball is widely known as America’s favorite pastime and it has hit Palm Beach County out of the ballpark.  The baseball enthusiasm began in New York metropolitan area in the mid-1850.  There were 16 area clubs registered with the first governing body of baseball, the National Association of Base Ball Players.
