Learn about the area community garden, grow your own vegetables and meet new people.   If you have a green thumb but you do not have room to grow your own organic vegetables, you can grow your own organic fruits and vegetables in a Jupiter community garden. It contains 28 plots including a children’s garden and all organic – organic fertilizer and compost, organic seeds when available, organic pesticides! 

A community garden is a piece of land gardened together by a collection of people. The purpose of the garden is to provide “fresh products and plants, as well as satisfying labor, neighborhood improvement, sense of community and connection to the environment.”

For more than 80 years, the Okeechobee County Cattlemen’s Association has brought cowboy heritage to South Florida.  The Okeechobee Rodeo, also known as “Cow Town” Rodeo is an official stop on the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA). 

The Okeechobee Rodeo is believed to be the second longest running rodeo in the State of Florida.  The longest running rodeo is the Silver Spurs Rodeo in Kissimmee, which will hold its 136th annual event this year.  Okeechobee is just 50 miles west of Palm Beach County, one of Florida’s premiere agriculture communities.

Happening in Boca Raton next week is a major new event for the art community in South Florida, the launch of the Boca Raton Contemporary Art Fair. This new event will host some of the finest works in contemporary, modern and emerging art at the 65,000 square foot International Pavilion of the Palm Beaches on the Florida Atlantic University campus. 

The art fair is put on by David and Lee Ann Lester of Next Level Fairs and is to take place March 18 through the 21 of 2016. According to National Bridge Inventory statistics, the Town of Jupiter has 46 bridges!  Collectively the bridges average daily traffic of 1,137,448 vehicles and of that 94,108 of those vehicles are trucks.  That is an awful lot of traffic in our quaint little beach town.

One of the busiest bridges in the world is the George Washington Bridge, which links Manhattan to New Jersey by crossing over the Hudson River. The bridge has 14 lanes for motor vehicles and almost 102 million automobiles annually. The George Washington Bridge is 1,283 feet long of suspension and considered an engineering phenomenon. It is the world’s longest enclosed bridge with its lattice-steel towers rising 604 feet high above the water. The bridge now extends 4,760 feet

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Lake Worth
  

Come out to the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Lake Worth with family or friends for a fun day of wearing green, green beer and Irish traditions.
