A Harvard University study found that optimists are not only happier but 50% less likely to have heart disease, a heart attack or a stroke.    Decades of data indicate that people who are happy live longer and healthier lives.  Achieving contentment is something many people strive to achieve based on the $550 million Americans spend on self-help books and $1 billion on motivational speakers.

One explanation is behavioral.   Possibly, because optimists enjoy better health and live longer lives because they live healthier lifestyles.  These lifestyles lead to biological benefits such as lower stress hormones and less inflammation.  Now you have a reason to go outside and play a round of golf on some of the great golf courses in our area like Admirals

It is a great seafood choice because by eliminating the non–native lionfish species helps save our beautiful reefs and the native fish can improve from the environmental burdens. Eating lionfish is actually a healthier choice than most other fish species that are regularly served in restaurants such as snapper, grouper and tuna. The Norton Museum in West Palm Beach, Florida has been refreshed and ready to show off its American and European displays.  The keepers of the museum have brought significant items out of storage and set on display, some of these collections have not been seen in over a decade, such as Michealangelo’s 500 year old oil paintings on wood and European art.

The organization of the museum’s collection of art has been categorized by theme instead of nationality as it seems most museums often do. The entire collection is refreshed and visitors can now observe how the creation was made and how the world dealt with some of the fluctuating ideas expressed through their unique art.

The Norton Museum of Art has grown to become one of Florida’s major cultural…

10.17.14 Fishing Report

This weekend’s marine forecast looks very fishy and the weather is beyond beautiful! The Southeast Atlantic Ocean should have some chop to get the fish fired up and ready to get hooked!

Keep a few small feathers out as well for a chance to hook up a small blackfin tuna. The blackfin tuna reports have been around the size of a football. Sailing season has started and the sailfish may show up this weekend too!
Bottom fishing for snapper keeps things interesting with scattered
