Ken Duke has had a life time of adversity to overcome to get to where he is today. Diagnosed with scoliosis at a young age, Duke had a 16-inch metal rod surgically attached to his spine at the age of 15. Despeite the disability, and the metal rod, Duke still played high school golf in his native Arkansas and even managed to turn pro in 1994. After bouncing around on mini tours around the world, he finally made it to the PGA tour in 2004 at the age of 35.

10 years later, the Palm City resident is now a PGA Tour winner after winning the Travelers Championship in 2013, his first PGA Tour win in his long career. In addition to the stability and Masters invite that the win came with, the Golf Writers Association of America also deemed Duke worthy of the

Just two months removed from Bryan Haase and Pete Williams winning their respective divions of the 2013 season, the Palm Beach County Golf Association has announced its 2014 season schedule.

The 2014 PBCGA Championship season will kick off March 15-16 at the Spring Four Ball event held at the Santa Lucia River Club in Port St. Lucie and will wrap up once again at the Tour Championship presented by Tiger Woods in November.

Like in years past, some of the best courses in our area will host events on the PBCGA schedule. The Palm Beach International event will be moving to the Fazio course at PGA National in 2014. While Tiger Woods won five times on the PGA Tour in 2013, bringing his total number of years winning at least five events to 10, he extended his majorless streak to 18 in a row.

Woods will have his eye on two important records in 2014. The Jupiter Island resident enters the year only three wins shy of Sam Snead's all time mark of 82 career PGA Tour wins and he will also look to win a major for the first time since 2008. He currently sits at 14, four behind Jack Nicklaus' record.

Woods has had a history of success at all four of this year's majors locations. He has won four times at Augusta National. He also has a victory at Valhalla, winning the 2000 PGA Championship and at Royal Liverpool, winning the 2006 Open Championship. The only major venue

While Rory Mcllroy struggled to win on the golf course in 2013, the Palm Beach Gardens resident might have already claimed the biggest win of 2014 just two days into the new year.

That's because on Tuesday, the Bears Club member and former world number one, proposed to longtime girlfiend and tennis star Caroline Wozniakci. Mcllroy proposed to Wozniacki while the couple was in Syndey, Australia where the tennis star was prepparing for the Australian Open.

Mcllroy and Wozniacki first began dating in the summer of 2011, shortly after Mcllroy won his first major at the U.S. Open. During the course of their relationship, they have each achieved the number one world ranking in their respective sports. Entering 2014, Wozniacki sits 10th in the WTA
