On any Thursday evening you will encounter the most unique blown glass, wooden sculptures and pottery, silver and gold jewelry on the waterfront!  On Thursday evenings at the Sailfish Marina, www.sailfishmarina.com , you will find musicians, like Clark Rodriguez, singing and playing his guitar.  You’ll hear sounds of your favorite Jimmy Buffet inspired tunes or steel drums playing on the boardwalk as the sun sets colorfully in the western sky. Enjoy the fresh air and a beautiful evening near the Atlantic Ocean at the Seabreeze Amphitheater in Carlin Park, Jupiter, Florida on  Saturday, September 1, 2012.  The Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department is presenting a Bon Jovi Tribute concert entitled “Livin on a Prayer”.  The band will cover a lot of the original bands hits from the 90’s to their present day hits.  Expect to see big hair, tight leather, and fringe!  It’s sure to be a fun show!  Showtime is 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm.   Pets on leases are welcome, as are picnic baskets, and coolers.  Admission is free.

Delray Beach’s famed Sundy House was the site of a recent fundraiser for the city’s public library that raised $2,000.

The “Dine Out” event featured a celebrity chef, and a portion of proceeds from food sales directly benefited the library.

The boutique inn in downtown Delray Beach is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is an attraction for city residents and visitors. The quaint and quiet retreat is Victorian in style and the site of not only fundraisers, but also weddings and other intimate events.

For those thinking about investing in Delray Beach homes for sale, the Sundy House definitely is an area attraction.

Perhaps, “Rainy days and Mondays” got the Carpenters down because they didn’t live in our area!  If the immensely popular brother and sister duo from the 1970’s had chosen South Florida, they might have found plenty of things to do on a rainy day, but they wouldn’t have had that Billboard Top 100 record and their fourth gold single!   

If you’re not familiar with the duo The Carpenters, they were in great demand in the 1970’s.  Richard and Karen created a soft musical style that made them top selling artists when most contemporary music was hard hitting rock and roll.   They recorded 11 albums and television specials.

Ryan Hunter-Reay is one of Indy Car’s première drivers.
